WESTERNS
1847 Errant on the Protestant Bible by Thomas Ward, Esq.

This 118 page book, published by D & J Sadler, New York, is in good condition for its age.  There are stains on the yellowed pages, but the pages are
all clean and tight.  There are notations in ink on the inside front pages of two previous owners, and a plate from the present owner, and a small pencil
notation, that looks like an initial.  This is an argument written in the 17th century about the errors found in various versions of the bible.  The cover
shows slight shelf wear and the corners are somewhat rounded.  Its cover is done in a marbled pattern with a red spine and corners, and gold lettering
on the spine that is somewhat worn, but I think the condition is great for a book of over 150 years.

1913  Life of Jesus Christ for the Young  Vol 1 thru 4

This is a 4 volume set of Bible stories for youth.  The original copyright date is 1876-80, renewed 1904-07 and copyrighted again 1913, which I believe
to be the ate of this publication.  In the front, there is a picture of the author, Rev. Richard Newton, D.D. , with the words:  Prince of Preachers to the
young.  The title page indicates 80 illustrations by Wm. Hole, Royal Scottish Academy.  The books were published by George Barrie's Sons, Publishers.
3 of the 4 books have tears on the paper covering over the spines, as you can see in the picture.  The books are clean and tight, with little wear other
than the spine.  There are approx. 300 pages per book and the total weight of the set is just under 10 pounds.  I am not an expert in any area and am
trying only to present information about these books clearly.  If you have any questions, contact me before bidding.
